Marble King, Inc. Marbles

In 1949 by Berry Pink and Sellers Peltier of the Peltier Glass Company bought the Akro Agate Company and renamed it to Marble King, which was Pink's nickname. They are still doing business today in West Virginia.

They are best known for their colorful "Rainbow" marbles.

According to a late 19th-century American newspaper ad, you could buy a 'flint' marble for 5 cents, a glass agate for 1 cent, a dozen Chinas for 5 cents, or two-dozen 'commons' for 5 cents.
