Rare Painted Standing Bear Sulphide Marble

Rare Standing Bear Painted Sulphide MarblePainted sulphide marbles almost never come up for sale, so it should come as no surprise that bidding on this near-mint, 1 9/16" standing bear sulphide marble has reached $1,236 after only one day. There are five days of bidding left so it will be fun to watch this one.

From the photos the marble may not look in near-mint condition but that is because strong light is very unforgiving in photos of clear based glass marbles.

This marble will certainly look much better in person.

03/30/09 Update: Congratulations to the highest bidder, whose bid of $2,849.03 won this rare sulphide marble!
